Red-dot pet laser (white): playtime for cats and dogs

The white ACE Lasers red-dot laser is a play laser for cats and dogs in a clean white housing that looks at home on a shelf next to the cat toys. It is a 5 mW red-dot laser, laser class 3B, that runs on two AAA batteries (included), so it is ready to play the moment it arrives. Most cats cannot resist a dot darting across the floor, and many dogs love a short chase too: a few minutes of laser play is an easy way to get an indoor cat moving on a rainy evening.

How to play safely

  • Never in the eyes of people or animals – not even for a moment. Keep the beam well away from faces.
  • Aim at the floor. Move the dot along the ground and low walls, never up towards your pet's head.
  • Keep sessions short: five to ten minutes is plenty.
  • End with a real toy. Finish by letting the dot land on a toy or treat your pet can actually catch, so the game ends with a win.
  • Avoid mirrors, windows and shiny floors that can reflect the beam.

Ending on something real matters. A dot can never be caught, and some animals become restless or fixated on lights if every game ends without a catch. Watch your pet: if it keeps searching for the dot after the laser is put away, play less often and rely more on physical toys.

Range (indicative)

Indicative: depends on conditions (light, weather, surface). For play, keep the dot close by on the floor.

Who it is for

Owners of playful cats and dogs who want an easy way to add a short, active game to the day. This is a class 3B laser: an adult holds it, and it must be kept out of reach of children – it is not a toy for them to use. Switch it off after the game and store it securely. The pink version is identical apart from the housing: red-dot pet laser (pink).

Sold to adults 18+ only; as the buyer you are responsible for complying with UK law. Read our laser safety guide. Batteries and other accessories: batteries, charger and accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Is this laser suitable for playing with my cat or dog?
Yes, it is made as a play laser. Keep the dot on the floor, never shine it into the eyes of your pet or anyone else, play for five to ten minutes and end on a real toy or treat your pet can catch.
Which batteries does it use?
Two AAA batteries, which are included.
How strong is this red-dot laser?
It has an output of 5 mW and is classified as laser class 3B, so an adult should always hold it and it must be kept away from children.
Why should I finish with a real toy?
A dot can never be caught. Letting the game end on a toy or treat gives your pet the satisfaction of a catch and helps prevent restless light-chasing afterwards.
What is the difference from the pink version?
Only the colour of the housing. Output, dot and batteries are the same.
