ACE Lasers ARP-1 Pro Red Laser Pointer (50–500 mW)

ARP-1 Pro: high power red laser pointer

The ACE Lasers ARP-1 Pro is the full-size red model in our Pro series. With an output of 50–500 mW, laser class 3B, it produces a strong red dot that many users find easy to pick out against grass, hedges and trees. Like the green Pro models it runs on a rechargeable 18650 cell and has safety keys to prevent unauthorised use.

Red or green?

We prefer to be straightforward: the human eye is more sensitive to green than to red. A red laser of the same output therefore looks dimmer and is visible over a shorter distance. Indicatively, the ARP-1 Pro reaches approx. 200 m in daylight against roughly 500 m for a green Pro. Choose the ARP-1 Pro when you want a red dot, when you signal with two colours, or when you want to complete your kit. For maximum range, the AGP-3 Pro green is the better choice.

Battery and charging

The ARP-1 Pro uses the same 18650 cell as the other full-size Pro lasers, so one spare PowerFox 18650 2-pack serves several lasers. Charge the cell fully before first use and keep a spare charged for long sessions. The PowerFox charger handles 18650 and 16340 cells.

Typical uses

Outdoor pointing at dusk, marking a distant object for a colleague, and long-range signalling. Some users combine a red and a green laser to give two distinct signals. The Pro set includes the ARP-1 Pro together with the AGP-1 Pro and AVP-1 Pro.

Safe use

This is a class 3B laser: direct exposure and reflections from glass, water or metal can injure the eye instantly. Never aim it at people, at the eyes of animals, at vehicles or at aircraft, and never into the sky near flight paths. Wear laser safety goggles rated for the wavelength, keep the laser away from children and store it securely. Sold to adults 18+ and businesses only; as the buyer you are responsible for complying with UK law. Read our laser safety guide.
