AGP-1 Pro: high power green laser pointer with pattern lens

The ACE Lasers AGP-1 Pro combines the output of the Pro series, 50–500 mW at 532 nm (laser class 3B), with a removable pattern lens. With the lens fitted, the laser projects a pattern; with the lens removed, you have a focused green dot for work over long distances. For users who want one high-power green laser that can do a little more, this is the model to look at.

Applications

Without the pattern lens the AGP-1 Pro does everything the AGP-3 Pro does: moving birds off large areas, pointing out stars for a group and marking or signalling over long distances. The pattern lens is useful for demonstrations at short distance outdoors. Always remove it before long-range use, as a pattern spreads the light and reduces reach.

Battery and charging

The AGP-1 Pro uses a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion cell, supplied with a charger. A spare PowerFox 18650 2-pack lets you swap cells in the field so you can continue without waiting for a recharge. Charge on a non-flammable surface and stop using any cell that looks damaged or swollen.

AGP-1 Pro or AGP-3 Pro?

Both share the same output range, battery type and safety keys. Choose the AGP-1 Pro if you want the pattern lens; choose the AGP-3 Pro if you want our most chosen, slightly shorter model. If you want a high-power laser in all three colours, the Pro set AGP-1 + ARP-1 + AVP-1 includes this laser.

Safe use

This is a class 3B laser: direct exposure and reflections from glass, water or metal can injure the eye instantly. Never aim it at people, at the eyes of animals, at vehicles or at aircraft, and never into the sky near flight paths. Patterns do not make the laser safer: every part of the projected light carries the same hazard. Wear laser safety goggles rated for the wavelength, keep the laser away from children and store it securely.
