Battery and charging

The AGP-3 Pro runs on a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion cell, supplied together with a charger. Charge the cell fully before first use. For long bird-control rounds or a whole evening under the stars, carry a charged spare: the PowerFox 18650 batteries (2-pack, 6800 mAh) fits, and the PowerFox charger takes 18650 and 16340 batteries, one at a time.

Using the AGP-3 Pro well

Switch on only when the beam is pointed where you intend it to go, and use short bursts rather than a continuous beam. For bird control, sweep slowly towards the flock at ground level; the birds react to the approaching dot, not to a beam aimed at them. For star pointing, a brief beam is enough and keeps your audience focused. When stored, remove the safety key and keep it separately.

Safe use

This is a class 3B laser: direct exposure and reflections from glass, water or metal can injure the eye instantly. Never aim it at people, at the eyes of animals, at vehicles or at aircraft, and never into the sky near flight paths. Wear laser safety goggles rated for the wavelength, keep the laser away from children and store it securely. Yes. It is our most chosen model for bird control on large areas such as fields and farmyards. Keep the beam low, towards the ground, and never towards roads, houses or the sky.
How long does the battery last?
That depends on how long you keep the beam on. For long sessions we recommend a charged spare PowerFox 18650 battery (6800 mAh).
What is the difference from the AGP-1 Pro?
Both are green 50–500 mW class 3B lasers with 18650 battery, charger and safety keys. The AGP-1 Pro has a removable pattern lens; the AGP-3 Pro is the model chosen most often.
Can I use it indoors?
No. A class 3B laser of this output is meant for outdoor use; indoors the risk of reflections is too high.
