ACE Lasers Set: AG-1 Green + AR-1 Red + AV-1 Violet (5–50 mW)

Three colours, one set: AG-1, AR-1 and AV-1

Choosing a colour is easier when you can compare them. This set brings together our three pen-style lasers, each 5–50 mW, laser class 3B, each running on two AAA batteries that are included. No chargers, no special cells: three lasers ready to use.

When each colour is best

• AG-1 green (532 nm): the most visible colour to the eye. Your choice for pointing out stars, for birds at dusk and for long-range signalling. Indicatively approx. 2 km in the dark, with a visible beam.
• AR-1 red: a clear red dot that stands out against green surroundings. Visible over a shorter distance than green, indicatively approx. 1 km in the dark.
• AV-1 violet (405 nm): makes fluorescent materials glow. Looks the dimmest of the three, indicatively approx. 500 m in the dark, but treat it with the same care.

Who chooses the set

Astronomy clubs that want a spare laser and a second colour, outdoor professionals who signal with more than one colour, and anyone who wants to see the differences between green, red and violet for themselves. The individual product pages contain the full range tables and specifications.

Prefer more output? The Pro set AGP-1 + ARP-1 + AVP-1 offers the same three colours at 50–500 mW with rechargeable 18650 cells.

Safety

All three lasers are class 3B. Never aim at people, the eyes of animals, vehicles or aircraft, wear goggles rated for the wavelength you use and keep all three lasers away from children. As the buyer you are responsible for complying with UK law. Read our laser safety guide.
